Dan (45) and Natasha, Vancouver, BC......It was a pleasure renting our bikes from Ardmore Motorcycles. The bikes and equipment (helmets, jackets, etc...) were in great condition. We took advantage of their pick up and drop off service which was very convenient. I much preferred the personal touch of renting from and meeting the owners, Samantha and Cloud, to renting from a big operator. I would highly recommend Ardmore Motorcycle Rentals.

Ricardo Troglioni (65) Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia, pensioner....I booked my bike too late to get my preferred option, a V-Strom 650, and was resigned to making do with a BMW 650 GS. However, when Samantha got a cancellation on a V-Strom she emailed me asking if I wanted to switch back to the V-Strom, which I did. She could have left everything as it was, but chose to ensure that I was as happy as possible. She met me at Auckland Airport & brought me to Ardmore to pick up the bike. The V-Strom was well-prepared, and after Cloud made a few adjustments I was ready to go. They suggested a gentle shakedown ride to Maraetai for dinner, in a restaurant looking out over the harbour with veiws stretching from Auckland city to the Coromandel Ranges; just what I needed. The next 13 days were riding bliss, and I even felt a small pang of regret when I handed Viktor V-Strom back to them; and coming from a committed Ducati bevel rider, that is high praise! Overall, I could not fault any of my dealings with Samantha & Cloud & the whole Ardmore Motorcycle Rental experience.

When we were planning our motorcycle tour of the North Island we were first attracted to Ardmore Motorcycle Rentals because of their very competitive and all-inclusive pricing, including all luggage and extras like heated grips, power sockets and detailed maps. Once contact had been made we were further impressed with the very prompt (almost immediate) responses to our email enquiries. To add to this, some time after we had made our booking Samantha emailed us to say they had reduced the pricing on the bikes we had booked and they were passing the saving on to us. How often does that happen in this day and age?! Then we had the great experience of meeting Cloud and Samantha first hand and being treated to their first class and very personalised customer service. This included a late Sunday afternoon pickup and transfer out to Ardmore. The bikes (Ducati ST3 & GSX650F) were in great condition as was the extra equipment (helmets, jackets, GPS) we hired. We had an amazing trip, visiting lots of places suggested to us by the team. We were also confident that their support in case of a problem was just a phone call away. Since returning to Australia we have done two things; started planning our next NZ trip and told everyone we know about the wonderful experience we had using Ardmore Motorcycle Rentals. Highly Recommended? You bet!!

It was a pleasant experience to rent from Ardmore Motorcycle Rental. The DR650 is a nice bike for what I had in mind and was in very good shape - the larger fuel tank and the Ventura bag was very much appreciated. Samantha and Cloud are very friendly and helpful: I was picked up at the train station and given valuable tips for the trip.
Riding on the Coromandel peninsula is fantastic: beautiful roads (some of them gravel), spectacular scenery, wonderful beaches and little traffic.
I´ll come back again and maybe try the Ducati ;-)

The trip from Wanaka and along Haast pass and Glacier highway was pure fantasy land, simply stunning and that goes down as one of my best days on a motorcycle ever, well, what else can I say.... a wonderful country to tour on a motorcycle, it is safe and NZ is geared up for tourists, one has so many options regarding accommodation. I will have to come back with some of my friends sometime in the future.

We did 5,500ks in both the North and South islands. The bike was in excellent condition and didn't miss a beat.
The service we received from both Samantha and Cloud was first class, very friendly, easy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. We found the entire experience to be a pleasure and had a great time and would like to take this opportunity to thank both Samantha and Cloud again.

This is just one more: "thank-you" for being such great people! You were by far the best motorcycle rental experience we ever had.
